Psychotherapy

Our trained specialists work to provide therapeutic interventions that aid with de-escalation, coping skill development/reinforcement, ADHD, ADD, depression, anxiety, disruptive behavior disorders, trauma disorders, eating disorders, and more. Working with the individual’s family we formulate a custom-tailored plan to suit the needs of each youth, whatever they may be.

Equine & Animal Assisted Therapy

Equine and Animal Therapy is instrumental in helping youth with healing depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Equine-assisted and animal-assisted therapy also helps to reduce irritability, agitation, and impulsivity while increasing cooperation, emotional regulation, and behavioral control.

Art Therapy

Art therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, relieve stress, improve symptoms of anxiety and depression, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and cope with physical illness or disability.

Horticulture & Nature Therapy

Horticulture & Nature Therapy provides individuals the opportunity to interact with and observe the beauty of life’s ups and downs and how nature can heal itself and continue on, despite setbacks encountered. Horticulture Therapy has been proven to reduce stress, improve social skills, increase independence, develop positive self-esteem, increase management of difficult emotions, develop a stronger sense of purpose, increase observation skills, and encourage creativity. The therapy includes Essential Oils, a Healing Garden, Planting Beds, Clearing Trails, Chicken Egg Gathering, and other outdoor activities.

Music Therapy

Music therapy provides avenues of communication and helps individuals express themselves. Music is used to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Therapy includes creating, singing, moving to, and/or listening to music.

Social Skills Therapy

Social Skills Therapy includes fun, interactive experiences that encourage individuals to interact with their peers. This therapy features skill-building activities like role playing, play skills, conversation skills and emotional skills, active listening, thinking before we speak, speaking clearly not shouting, group work; non-verbal skills, identifying triggers, gestures and eye contact, listening with understanding and empathy, and more.


Mentoring

Mentoring services improve the individual’s ability to interact in their community in socially appropriate ways. Activities feature peer interaction, social/recreation, and employable skill-building opportunities. The mentor supports by practicing, modeling, guiding, and shadowing them in the community rather than classroom-type environment.
